1. What is the difference between Auto Iris, Manual Iris and Fixed Iris lens?

The iris on the lens determines how the camera will adjust to light.
- Auto Iris: has the ability to adjust automatically to lighting conditions.
- Manual Iris: you can adjust it manually only
- Fixed Iris: it is fixed and cannot be adjusted

2. How can I evaluate the lens quality?
|
There are incredible differences in quality. So before you make your choice make sure if there are plastic or glass lens, if there are high quality glass or low quality glass, if there are metal bodies or plastic bodies and if there are precision mounts or some not precise.

3. What are the most common used?
|
The most common are the 2.8mm, 3.6mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm fixed lens or 4mm~9mm, 6mm~15mm or 6mm~60mm Vari-focal lens.

4. What advantages I have if I use a Vari-focal lens?
|
The Vari-focal lens gives you the ability to dial in manually anything within the focal range. When you install a camera, you would make your adjustments until it covers that area you desire.
